Any private health care facility qualifying government eligibility criteria of physical infrastructure, quality assurance measures and qualified staff may present a letter of interest for being accredited to provide FP services under government schemes.

Private organizations experienced in providing family planning services may get accredited as Clinical Outreach Teams (COT) and can provide FP services at selected government facilities as per their MOU with the state and get reimbursed against services.
Any surgeon interested in providing surgical Family Planning services under government schemes needs to get empanelled with CMO office. Only empanelled surgeon can perform family planning surgical procedure under government scheme as only empanelled surgeons are covered under indemnity scheme that protects surgeon and the government.
An empanelled surgeon can perform surgery at
his/her own facility if it is accredited, can be member of COT team and also can provide service at government health facility in consent with CMO on rates fixed by the government for the purpose.

SIFPSA is initiating a project to Link Urban ASHAs with Accredited Private Hospitals for Referral of FP clients specially for sterilization service. This has been a long standing vision to increase the current efficiency of accredited private sector providers by allowing demand aggregation from the public sector front line workforce.
In demonstration phase would be implemented in five districts namely Firozabad, Saharanpur, Agra, Mathura and Allahabad.
